Hello
Thank you for your interest in Jari Bernedoodles! We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves and share what makes our breeding program truly special.
My name is Jana, and together with my dear friend Anri, we founded this breeding partnership in 2020. Based in Pretoria and Vanderbijlpark, we are deeply passionate about raising happy, healthy, and well-socialized Bernedoodles who bring joy to their forever families.
Our setup
At Jari Bernedoodles, our breeding dogs are much more than part of a program—they are our beloved pets and cherished family members. They live in our homes, share our lives, and even join us on holidays. Between us, we each have three breeding females. Anri lovingly cares for our Poodle male, while I’m the proud caregiver of our Bernese Mountain Dog male.
Our litters
Our females typically have one to two litters each per year, resulting in four to six litters annually. While we aim to space the litters throughout the year, Mother Nature often sets her own timeline. Once pregnant, our moms carry for approximately 63 days, and the puppies remain with us for nine weeks before they’re ready to meet their new families.
Our puppies are raised in our lively, loving homes, surrounded by children, other pets, and everyday household sounds. This environment helps them adapt to different situations, such as children’s playful energy, the company of other animals like cats and dogs, and the typical hustle and bustle of family life.

Growing up
When fully grown, Bernedoodles have a wide weight range influenced by their parents. Our Poodle male typically weighs 20-25 kg, while our larger Bernese Mountain Dog females weigh 35-40 kg. As adults, our Bernedoodles generally fall within the 30-40 kg range, making them the perfect blend of size and charm
Coats
Bernedoodles are renowned for their gorgeous and versatile coats, which can be straight, wavy, or curly. These coat types enhance their adorable appearance and contribute to their low-shedding and hypoallergenic qualities.
Colors
Their colours are equally enchanting. Bernedoodles come in a range of stunning options, including classic tri-color, bi-color, solid shades, and sophisticated phantom and phantom-tri combinations. This year we will be introducing MERLE as whole new venture for Jari.
Finding a home
When it comes to finding the perfect match for our puppies, we prioritize compatibility over a traditional waiting list approach. While we often have many interested families, we dedicate time to ensure that each puppy is placed in the best possible home. Our process includes a short, informal interview where we discuss your home environment, family dynamics, and preferences, such as timing, coat type, and gender.

The cost
Doodle prices in South Africa typically range from R20,000 to R30,000 for single-color varieties. However, our unique tri-color Bernedoodles offer exceptional quality, beauty, and companionship, starting at R35,000. The unique Merle variations will start at R45 000.00.
This price reflects the extra care, premium genetics, and dedication we invest in breeding healthy, well-socialized Bernedoodles with stunning tri-color coats. We believe in providing not just a pet, but a loyal family member for years to come.
